sweater weather

i recently decided to start picking up the simple 70’s sweaters i always seem to find in thrift shops as a new stand-in for the basic t-shirt. i think they’re quite nice paired with simple skinnies when i can’t be bothered to think of what to wear! it’s a silhouette that i never dared to try before, but i’ve been pushing my limits lately, and i have to admit that i quite like the look. perfect for a day filled with random errands like thrift store shopping, waiting in line at the post office, and baking chocolate chip cookies.

  1. I love these photos where you're crouching down. Maybe just because they're deviations from the usual, but they seem much more personal!

  2. You look so model-esque in that first photo. I love 70's sweaters. Well, I love most things from the 70's…

Your hair looks fabulous! I wish I had a hair stylist like yours, I feel like I need to switch things up but I don't know what to do with my mop!

  3. what a sweet collar on that sweater! those shoes must be awfully comfortable if you can thrift and stand in long lines while wearing them! i'm jealous.

  4. how great is that sweater!! love it!

  5. erin, firstly thank you for all the recent mentions of me on your blog :) it was so weird seeing my face on your amazing blog hehe :) and now to the outfit–i love this simple outfit on you! i see that you're wearing green a lot more since your epiphany! green is my favorite color, yet i don't wear it at all because i had the same fear, but now you've inspired me to go find some green and just wear it hehe :)

  6. This is suuppper cute! The gold thread gives it a classy look, LOVE

  7. I love this look! It's so weird for me to see flowers during this time of the year because I live in New England where it just snowed 10 inches. Your styles always inspire me!

  8. that color green = marvelous on you. can't understand why you ever thought that wasn't a good color for you. you look casually amazing.
