today is a particularly special day because i’m wearing my brand new lauren moffatt dress! you may remember a few months back, i was fortunate enough to go on a lauren moffatt studio visit to check out her upcoming fall 2011 collection. while i was there, i snapped a few behind-the-scenes photos and basically attempted to contain myself at the sight of so many beautiful pieces. time and again, her collections come out in my top list of favorites, so when they offered to send me a dress from the spring collection, i was over the moon! and you can bet that the moment it arrived, i threw it on with a pair of vintage flats and wore it 2 days in a row, haha! it’s one of those dresses that just feels so right!

This is pretty much the PERFECT warm weather outfit. Simple, fun and lovely! Those Tom Ford glasses are so good! And don’t even get me started on Lauren Moffat’s designs. Heart!

You’re so lucky to have visited Lauren Moffatt’s studio! I am addicted to her clothing, and though I’ve only purchased one of her skirts, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until I accumulate more. ;) This dress is really perfectly “you.” It’s kind of like a girlier cousin to that navy Dear Creatures dress Modcloth named after you a while back!

haha, do not fear, i am many feet away from danger and there is a doorway that opens up to the middle of the roof, so i never even get that close to the edge. it is but an optical illusion! ;)

I love how you wear the most gorgeous colours on your lips. How do wear them – are the ysl lipsticks so good that they last pretty much all day, or do you keep re-applying throughout the day, or do you have some kind of magic foundation …?

the ysl lipsticks are pretty good. the color will last all day, but i do reapply a couple of times to keep it as bold and vivid as when i first applied it. i’ve also heard that mac lipsticks are pretty amazing, but have yet to try them!

for me personally, i was actually able to size down one size. but i think either size would work since it is a simple shift shape with a belt to cinch the waist! it’s such a lovely dress!
