outfit: olive ave.

despite that fact that i packed for the winter, the weather here in redlands has been unseasonably warm, even for southern california! it’s fun to see everyone (myself included) walking around in their new jackets and sweaters looking a bit uncomfortable discovering that the weather doesn’t really require quite so many layers. so i decided to shed a few of my own layers and opted to prance around in a very mini skirt with my fancy new pink polka dot shirt!

i went for a little walk on olive ave to admire the cool old craftsman and victorian style homes and palm tree lined streets. we didn’t really capture them in this set of photos, but redlands has some of the most amazing historical buildings. it’s the type of place where you can just drive (or bike) around for hours admiring all of the interesting architecture.

  1. That blouse is just lovely and I’m in love with your satchel!

Also, I’m really not sure how to feel about this weather! I want to layer up, but the sun won’t let me. :(

  2. You look absolutely darling! And I love the giant bow on your blouse! And I know what you mean about the weather. I live in Austin and it seems like it doesn’t even get super cold until end of Jan./Feb!

  3. As I see your cute little bare legs and look out my window of the blanket of snow on every square inch of Colorado, I very much miss the summer! Sigh.

The bow on this blouse is so very pretty and your jump shots are always the bestest!

  4. North Texas has been unseasonably warm as well. Most of my recent outfit posts have me sporting very thin layers. I’m not complaining. Heavy clothes are a total pain.

I love your poses, btw. Very sweet and fun. The photos are really well framed. Kudos to you and your photographer (if you are the photographer, double kudos to you!)

  5. sounds amazing i love looking at the old victorian houses we have here in houston, by the way the skirt looks so good on you! i have to buy myself this denim circle skirt now hehe

  6. Oh Erin, you bring a bit of spring warmth to me! Here in northern Italy it’s simply FREEZING, so hard to get proper outfit pictures done without being tightly wrapped in your coat with a huge scarf all around your face :)
You look so darling! Hope you had the best holidays!

  7. I love these shots of you, it makes me wish it were still Summer here, we got a huge snow storm with lots of cold wind, alas my Winter boots and big coat and chunky knits are my best friends, happy holidays miss :)

  8. Be still my heart! Oh Olive Ave, I used to live this same neighborhood until I moved when we bought a house. Alas, we could not afford that neighborhood, but I to return someday! Fantastic photos, I may have to visit the ol’ Olive Ave market for coffee this weekend. :)

  9. The small glimpses of architecture that you’ve captured in your photographs definitely bolster the claim that you could walk around for hours! I love every backdrop for your pictures. Of course, I also love the blouse. You’ve cut the sugary sweet factor with your classic choices for the other parts of your outfit. Perfection!

  10. That outfit is just too adorable-mini skirt and big bow blouse and topper. and the RM covet bag is awesome too. Love the photos. This makes me want to visit Redlands when I’m back down south.

  11. wocka wocka wocka! the blouse just makes me smile like fozzie bear’s bad jokes. but seriously, i mean this as a compliment. rock on.
