outfit: action slacks

calivintage: action slacks

just a few snaps from a walk around my neighborhood on a particularly sunny day. this is another one of those outfits that i wear pretty often, but don’t usually photograph. i could live in these jeans if i could get away with it because they’re super soft and stretchy with a perfect high rise. i remember when i was in high school, i used to have this pair of men’s action slacks. they were comfort jeans for old men that had a tab waist with stretch denim. i was a skinny kid and they were regular men’s sizes, so wore them slung awkwardly at my hips, but i just loved them because they were this perfect baby blue. now i just like to refer to all of my stretch jeans as action slacks, though i suppose these are slightly more fashionable…

  1. Oh man, I had some Levis action slacks (aka old man pants) back in the day that I’d wear with thrifted t-shirts. This post has totally got me thinking about brown denim, it was not really on my radar until now. Hmmm….

  2. You style is impeccable! Everything you put together is absolute perfection! I really like this combination of dark brown and navy blue and the collar gives it a structured yet cute look :)

  3. I may or may not start referring to my stretchy pants as ‘action slacks’ as well, it’s such a funny but apt term! I really like the colour of your jeans, I’ve been thinking about getting similar ones from American Apparel for a while, but haven’t gotten around doing so yet.

  4. booty shot at the end! lols, you are too cute, I saw similar rag and bone jeans at saks…I hope they still have them. Problem is…jeans that color look so close to my skin tone i look like I’m running around naked!!!!
PS. I love everyday outfits…Ive been thinking about incorporating things I wear to the grocery.

    1. lol booty shot. there may have been an accompanying booty dance that went along, but i don’t have photographic evidence. also, i fully support you getting skin-toned pants. i have a pair of bike shorts that match my skin tone and i always laugh wondering how many people do a double-take thinking i’m nude from the waist down while riding my bike. true story.
