the new ilana kohn fall 2017 collection is out! i’ve long been a fan of her work, but for some reason, didn’t actually own anything by the brand until the past year. i picked up a pair of her now iconic boyd pants and i now have to try to stop myself from wearing them for days in a row. they are so comfy and i get compliments on them all the time, which is of course, an added perk. i just love her aesthetic, everything is simple and wearable, but she isn’t afraid to try new and interesting silhouettes. each piece makes a statement on it’s own, but is versatile enough to wear a million different ways. i love the fall color palette, and i’m really into the marion shirt and the phoebe shirt! i just know they’ll go with everything.

i know fashion month isn’t quite over, but i figured it was time to change gears and start sharing some of my favorite spring 2014 collections, especially since i’m currently on the hunt for some new spring clothes. one designer that i really want to give a try this season is ilana kohn. her spring 2014 collection is filled with exactly the types of pieces that i’ve been wanting to incorporate into my own wardrobe. plenty of separates to mix and match, and simple dresses that you can pull on with a few accessories before you’re on your way. ilana started out as an editorial illustrator for close to a decade before she decided to switch gears and to merge her love of illustration and prints with her interest in designing clothes. each season, she releases another set of beautiful prints with simple pieces in interesting silhouettes, the types of versatile clothes that make sense in any wardrobe and exactly what i would love to be wearing this spring.

since i’m on a bit of a cool basics kick, today i thought i would share the new ilana kohn fall 2013 collection. i don’t think i’ve ever written about her before, but i have recently become pretty smitten with this nyc-based designer and her very laid-back vibes. this season, you’ll find a set of cool silhouettes in beautiful graphic prints all constructed of soft and sturdy cotton, silk, and modal right in nyc. i am particularly in love with the cute pant sets and jumpsuits with their effortless ease. and lately, i’ve been a sucker for midi lengths. i mean, i know it’s a new york brand, but i feel like these looks would work so well in la. just throw on a pair of ankle boots and sunglasses and you’re good to go.
