lauren winter spring 2017

calivintage - lauren winter spring 2017

spring is in the air and i’m looking at the latest lauren winter collection for inspiration. this season, she’s introduced the most beautiful shades of rose and peach, in addition to her classic japanese indigo double gauze cotton and neutral shades of hemp and linen. i love the philosophy behind the brand– that clothes should be comfortable while still being interesting. and of course, sustainability is a big part of their ethos. in addition to sourcing fair-trade textiles, they also use sustainable fibers like hemp, organic cotton, and linen to offset their carbon footprint. even the packaging is 100% recycled.

but all of that aside, the collection alone is absolutely beautiful. you know how much i love a good jumpsuit, so it’s probably no surprise that i’m dying over the rose-colored cove jumpsuit, inspired by 1930s beach attire complete with a rope tie waist. it is definitely very close to the top of my spring wishlist. or if you want something a bit less flashy, the cove top is just lovely.

i know that spring is rapidly winding down, but i’m still playing catch up with all of my favorite collection since edie was born! one favorite that i would still love to wear this summer is lauren winter. the spring 2016 collection is full of easy pieces in light denim, indigo linen, and bold brick red. the fabrics are of high quality with each garment hand-constructed right in portland, oregon. in addition to having a wonderful eye for design, lauren winter is dedicated to creating clothes that are sustainable and fair trade. even the packaging is 100% recycled. it’s exactly the company that i am more than happy to put my money behind, and of course, it doesn’t hurt that everything is so perfectly wearable regardless of the season!

lauren winter spring 2015

the new lauren winter spring 2015 collection is out, and i want it all! i’ve followed lauren winter since her blogging days many years ago, so i really don’t know how i hadn’t written about her excellent designs until now. she really has a wonderful talent, and has been releasing beautiful handmade collections for quite a few seasons now. and i have to say, this latest is my favorite yet! i was first drawn in by the cool, handprinted shapes top and shorts, and immediately started counting my pennies. then, of course, i laid my eyes on the easy hourglass caftan. but of course she had to go and make the perfect jumpsuit ever. so basically, i’ll be emptying out my rainy day fund so i can walk around all summer in this dreamy collection. am i laying it on too thick? i can’t help myself! i am so ready for hot weather and cool linen clothes. you can shop the collection now.
