need supply co. spring 2015

needsupplyco_spring_2015_15

the new need supply spring 2015 lookbook has got me dreaming of a complete wardrobe overhaul. for spring, they took “a crisp, clean, and natural approach to dressing for the new season. with a focus on balancing volume and shape, each piece is allowed to stand on its own. the look is brought alive by the wearer, rather than defining them.” i love the classic styles and interesting silhouettes punctuated by statement jewelry. and i have been lusting after that current/elliot quilted denim coat since last year. i thought it had gotten away from me, but seeing it pop up this spring is making me think that perhaps it’s meant to be! you can shop the entire collection here.

need supply highland punk

i’ve long been a fan of need supply, and i’m telling you, their lookbooks just get better and better! last month they put out their latest, titled “highland punk,” and it’s really got me in the mood for fall.

from o’keefe and her west to viv westwood and her brash old world, there’s something about a pioneering lady whose art is intimately connected to its place. this is harsh highlands and santa fe chic remixed via l.a. and london for a new street.

it’s been a long while since i’ve been attracted to plaid, but these mixed tartans are really doing it for me. especially in a pared down color palette with just the right punch of dark red mixed with moody neutrals. you can shop the entire lookbook right here.

go explore by need supply co.

i discovered this little gem sitting in my inbox while i was away. go explore is a new limited edition collection by need supply co. created in collaboration with dusen dusen, collina strada, and black crane. the intention of the collection is to “capture the spirit of transition, the energy of life in flux, and the power of exploration.” and as i find myself in such a position these days, i think this collection would be the perfect uniform for my own travels and transitions. i’m especially in love with the dusen dusen pieces, and in particular the collared dress in ferns. get into my closet!

human being journal

the other day, i received a lovely little package from the folks over at need supply co. containing the latest issue of their print magazine, human being journal. need supply co. has already pretty well mastered the digital space with their online shop and clean editorial content, so it’s fun to see the way they’ve interpreted their content in print media. flipping through the pages, i find myself transported to those dreamy photo shoot locales and can’t help but feel a little envious of the team of writers and photographers who get to chase around all of the cool subjects for their features.
