the whitepepper spring 2013

i haven’t been doing very much shopping lately. in fact, i’ve been making my best effort to clear my closets and pare things down a bit. but in the process, of course, i discovered that i needed to revamp some of my basics and i found myself scrolling through the whitepepper‘s new spring 2013 arrivals. they have a handful of silhouettes that can best be described as easy basics. the colors and patterns are simple and spot-on and i love that they all have a very carefree, cool sense of humor about them. pretty much all of the things that i love. i’ve already picked up a sailor dress and a couple of smock dresses, but now i think i want one of their signature angel dresses, too! so perfect and breezy for hot summer days. in addition to their uk-based site, you can also shop much of the collection on asos.

  1. I’m with on bearing down. i dont know why ive suddenly become interested in streamlined clothes, and less patterns patterns need all the trends! Plus its feels good not to spend all your $$ of clothes

    1. yeah, i feel like as a blogger, i sometimes pressure myself to have all these new things and i get out of the habit of finding versatile clothes that can be worn multiple ways because i worry that it will be boring. i have to catch myself and remember that just because i have a blog and share outfits doesn’t mean that i have to be impractical! and sometimes it’s just refreshing to have a cleaner and more minimal look and/or formula for getting dressed.

  2. Oh, I feel you on the paring down sentiment. I’ve been so into minimalist blogs lately, and my aesthetic is rapidly changing. I love all of these dresses, and I have to mention that I’ve been LOVING everything you pin lately on Pinterest, Erin! I’m always so inspired by your outfits and posts. :)

    1. why, thank you! i’ve definitely been rethinking my style a little bit lately. last year, i felt like i got really comfortable with my style, but in the past few months, i’ve been yearning to reinvent my look a little bit. and i’ve totally been gravitating towards a cleaner and almost more utilitarian vibe. i’m still trying to figure it out, but it’s been fun digging up inspiration!
