that style, those colors! this outfit really does speak for itself. it’s pretty much perfection on so many levels.
as you all know, i’m a bit of a cycling fanatic, so discovering this cycle chic feature shot by mr. newton was a treat! my favorite look is this casual shorts ensemble. perfect for a day riding about town.
i’ve been very interested in getting my hands on a sheer skirt like this, and i love her creative styling. good inspiration for when i finally get one!
take your nautical inspired look up a notch by adding your own rope belt! it’s amazing how such a tiny accessory can really transform a look!
geek chic all the way. i need her glasses and i wish my granny’s closet had such cool pieces!
it’s all about her necklace! and i’m delighted to say that they carry a similar (if not the same) necklace at modcloth. i think i must get one. a great collegiate look for fall.

street style aesthetic: summer scarf
tying a vintage scarf around your neck with a striped shirt adds a nice nautical appeal. so simple, but it really does make a difference.

copenhagen street style: white summer
i like the simplicity of her loose cream dress and the way her coat is the exact same length as her dress.

fancy fine: mustard and peach
i just recently discovered this blog based out of san francisco and i couldn’t be more delighted by her cool vintage style. the color combination of this outfit and the giant ascot is pretty much amazing.

street style aesthetic: stripes
i’m cheating a little because these last three outfits aren’t from the past week, but there were so many good looks that i hadn’t posted! like this colorful and interesting mix of stripes.

stockholm street style: schnati
it’s really all about this amazing lace blouse in a casual combination with a cute little topknot.

yeye! style blog: back and well
izzy has such fun and inspirational style. she’s always pushing the envelope and trying out such interested combinations. i particularly love her mixed prints here and that cool cut out on her blouse. d.i.y., anyone?

if i had to choose, this week would probably be my favorite for summer fashion so far. there were so many good outfits on all of my favorite blogs and street style sites, that i just might have to do a bonus round later today!
lydia’s beautiful color palette is so fresh and pretty! she’s got the perfect baby blue blouse, a lovely floral skirt, a cute straw hat, and those incredible contrasting red heels! this girl is inspiration for days.
ever since the proenza schouler pre-fall 2010 collection came out, i have been dying to get my hands on a vintage letterman jacket. i have every intention to find one and can only hope to look as laid back and cool as this lovely lady.
tara-lynn has some serious personal style, with fashionable friends to boot! i love her big felt hat and fresh white denim shorts! such a lovely summer look.
those rust colored over the knee socks paired with white mary janes are so amazing! they really complete the look of this casual yet ladylike outfit.
there is just something about the combination of lace and olive green that really appeals to me. it’s a lovely mix of masculine and feminine. and the bonus is that her jacket is suede. such amazing details!
this week, kater got all dressed up in her best mad men inspired look. i have to say, she looks absolutely stunning in this outfit and she got ever details just right, from her perfect coral lips to those lovely gloves!

copenhagen street style: boquet de fleurs
definitely my favorite outfit this week, this girl has got the look down to her t. get it? yeaaah. anyway, i love the way she paired the cute vintage floral skirt with a simple t-shirt, round sunglasses, and cute summer sandals. definitely a nice way to keep cool and stylish in the hot weather.

altamira: beata holmgren
this outfit is amazing in it’s simplicity, but also in the key details that make it work. her dress has a subtle floral detail and who ever thought to layer a statement necklace over a scarf? yet it works so perfectly right down to her socks and oxfords.

l’atelier d’une fee: the village
you know me, a sucker for a cute girl on a bike! but i love that she wore a cute floral dress with nerdy glasses, and super tall oxford heels. it’s super feminine with just a touch of the masculine for good measure. i love it!

fancy things: holiday
i love the way she paired pink and baby blue. it’s a color combination i’ve never thought to try, but she definitely balances it out with more substantial brown leather accessories, but keeps it super pretty with a floral headband.

hoy fashion: topshop bandstand picnic
how cool is that little two piece? i’m going to assume it’s vintage because i’ve seen cute little sets like that in vintage shops before, but never dared to try them! but seeing how cool and breezy she looks with just a little teeny peep of skin has definitely got me thinking twice!

les mads: the turban
besides being a sucker for turbans, i also love her play on proportions here. the short cropped blouse paired with the high rise trousers create such a cool and relaxed look. definitely something to try.
