  1. These are beautiful, I hope you do get them printed on fabric! That would be an amazing collaboration.

Thank you so much for the shoe link earlier today. I definitely ended up buying them. I also ended up changing my blog name and address after that brief chat the other day :o)

  2. I don’t know about them being printed on fabric numerous times… Somehow I feel they would not be as striking–like they would have to share the spotlight. They would argue and… it wouldn’t be a pretty scene. I think I would rather see them as a series in a row on a clean, white wall. Kind of how you have them on your post.

    1. yes, i definitely see what you mean. i should probably clarify by saying that i was thinking of using some of his art, but not necessarily any of the drawings in this post. in particular, he did a really great, colorful bird that would look lovely all around the hem of a skirt!

but also, i think he has plans to sell some of his drawings as art prints as well!

      1. I LOVE BIRDS. The love is a mixture of admiration and jealousy. I see what you mean now. You know what would be cool? A plain cream dress with just one of his drawings printed on the whole thing… or just on the front. Anyway, I completely missed to mention the drawings are quite striking–you have quite the talented beau.

  3. Ooooh Erin! I love this idea!! I have always wanted to create fabric from my artwork but the prints your bf have made are so wonderful and would work perfect!! I totally agree with the comment above- circle skirt!

  4. I really love these images (and am not at all just saying that). Images of birds are always good in my book, and I also love the partitioned orange. And, just to join the imaginary clothing line discussion, I could imagine some drawings on an oversized collar on a dress or blouse… : )

  5. I *love* these drawings! I’m a style newbie and a life long nature lover. I printed that drawing of the multicolored heron and pinned it on my wall. I look forward to every new drawing, esp of birds – they are such a wonderful companion to the technically precise illustrations in field guides – since they capture something essential about that species presence and yet are so playful with color and other details.

Btw, today’s illustration (6-27-11) made me google the signature and that lead me to this page. I for one would buy the prints (and originals) in a heartbeat.
