the other night, i had the pleasure of attending the rachel comey fall 2012 show. i was allowed to take a look backstage to snap a few photos before the models got ready, so i was able to ooh and ahh at the epic shoes with very cool sheer socks designed in collaboration with hansel from basel. basically, it was a match made in heaven because rachel comey consistently makes the coolest shoes and hansel from basel always has the most creative socks! and well, i just can’t help but focus on those two details!
the collection was very sophisticated and minimalistic with a nod to the retro-futuristic ’60s with sleek beehives and cute vintage-inspired details like clear vinyl elements added to belts, dresses, and shoes!

Wow – what an amalgam of inspiring shots. i feel like i’ve been wearing ’60s inspired clothing for years – so I am so excited to see it in rachel comey’s new fall 2012 – all anew & afresh with nails, polka dots, chunky boots, and simple black eyeliner! fashion really is amazing this year.
