need supply co. pre-spring 2015

i’m gonna tell you right now, i’m not anywhere near being ready for spring. just looking at these photos is making me feel pretty anxious about all of the fall clothes hanging in my wardrobe that i have yet to wear. i have to be patient because we’re not even through the coldest months yet, but i can already tell the spring lookbooks are gonna be tempting me. case in point: the need supply co. pre-spring  2015 lookbook has got be feeling all sorts of feelings. clean white against that perfect shade of indigo blue that i can’t get enough of, the splashes of cool peachy nudes, and the simple styling. doesn’t it just make all of your fall clothes feel so blah?

maryam nassir zadeh spring 2105

Maryam_Nassir_Zadeh_011_1366

ok, after posting about the roberta heels last week, i realized that maryam nassir zadeh really deserves her own post. she launched her own womenswear line last year and while it is small, it really is on point. the color combinations, the styling, the attitude. everything about it is totally fresh and interesting. except for the hair… and those dirty, dirty nyc streets. but that’s not even a critique! these are the types of outfits i wish i could pull together, or even just pull off. i can’t even explain it, but i’m totally charmed by a little muscle tee layered under a cool sundress, and you already know how i feel about those shoes!

karen walker resort 2015

i rarely see a karen walker collection that i don’t like. so it’s no surprise that i want to wear her entire un-fussy resort 2015 collection, filled with chambrays and cottons and linens in various shades of blue and white. exactly what has been making up my summer wardrobe these days. i love me a nice smock or shift dress, especially when the proportions are done just right, something karen walker has mastered. and even though i thought i had overloaded on cat prints over the past several years, her latest interpretation is actually really cute! and i’m definitely going to be taking styling cues from that perfect shade of coral lipstick to match those awesome shades.

Rachel Comey PS 2015 Lookbook

oh, rachel comey. she lured me in with her shoes, and now i’m becoming more and more obsessed with her clothes each season. her resort 2015 collection is hitting all the right notes for me. she’s got plenty of navy blue, which i can’t seem to get enough of these days, there’s an awesome jumpsuit, and plenty of interesting silhouettes. and i kinda really want those cropped, wide leg jeans. and she’s somehow managed to make me consider trying pleated, high rise jeans? seriously, save for a few looks, i kinda wish i was the girl who walks around wearing these looks.

peter jensen resort 2015

and oh how i love to see the peter jensen twist on his latest muse. this season, he focused on yoko ono, and i have to say, even without knowing very much of her work, the whole thing is quite a visual treat. yes, right down to the orthopedic granny socks.  i love the way jensen can really tow the line between wearable pieces and conceptually interesting collections. i wouldn’t be so bold as to wear one of these looks head to toe, but i certainly wouldn’t mind taking a few cues. and i certainly don’t mind picking apart all of the different references to ono and her body of work, either.
