good morning! i hope you are all feeling jolly and well-fed on this glorious day after thanksgiving! i have to head to work, but it was nice to have a short break from the week to celebrate family and food. and my morning was made just a little bit brighter when i discovered that yesterday i was featured as day 66 on 365 lucky days! the incredibly talented lucky jackson embroidered my portrait as part of “blog crush” week in her year-long project to create a new piece of embroidered art every day for 365 days. i first discovered her work through a few of my favorite blogs, so when she approached me about creating my portrait, i nearly died. i mean, seriously, how awesome is that? she even found a fabric that is almost identical to the print on my vintage dress!
in addition to this crazy beautiful piece, which i am so honored to be a part of, she has already created quite a line-up of of impressive portraits. i rounded up a few of my favorites for you to enjoy, but you really have to visit her site to get the full scope. thank you so much, lucky!
dude. is anyone else super stoked about the fact that tomorrow is basically a day that you get off work so you can eat a bunch and chill out? i know i am. it’s been a super stressful past couple of weeks for me, and i need to decompress! badly. i seriously just want to lay around in my pajamas for like a week straight and just drink hot cocoa and take naps and read a book or something. i’m sure you know the feeling!

nope! your eyes are not deceiving you! my dress is indeed covered in teeny tiny trombones. it’s one of three rachel antonoff dresses i recently purchased. this one is especially fun because it is cut in a super mini length with a little layer of tulle beneath the skirt. the clean white silk is so pretty and perfect that it makes me feel a bit like a little doll, and the matching self belt is the perfect type of details that makes it feel more like something vintage. that coupled with the fact that it is made in the usa by a very awesome new york designer, makes this dress feel like something extra special. when i pulled it on to wear this weekend, i couldn’t help but think of it as my sunday best.

i believe i’ve expressed my love for no.6 clogs a few times before. and while i most definitely think you should check out their selection, today i am sharing a few images from the no.6 blog. even though a lot of the clothes aren’t exactly my style, i’m in love with their photos! the sense of movement is so beautiful to me: a perfect mix of elegance and awkwardness captured in-between poses. i love that they are so creative and carefree with the presentation of their clothes and it’s a delight to see what new interesting pieces they have to share.
i honestly can’t believe how quickly this week just passed right by. it’s going to be thanksgiving next week! which is why i can’t believe i am already spending my saturday morning with cup of coffee in hand to browse over my favorite posts of the week. as always, if you’re hungry for more, you can swing by my tumblr to see everything that catches my eye around the web!

when i was in new york this past september for fashion week, i had the chance to hop over to brooklyn to visit with hannah of hannah and landon and one half of the duo behind the loved one. i was running late as usual, but finally made it through some heavy traffic to be greeted by open arms, delicious treats, and two very playful cats. in her living room was a rack of pretty pieces, including some of my favorite loved one lingerie and some exciting new pieces from the upcoming collection. there were unique, one-of-a-kind rayon shorts and bralettes, and a series of pretty dresses with sheer tops! unfortunately, my camera battery was just about empty, and i wasn’t able to get any photos that would do them justice. so instead we chatted a bit about the designs and about our adventures in blogging before ending the evening with some delicious indian food in the company of very nice people.
fortunately for me, they have now begun releasing some beautiful images of both new and vintage pieces! i am in love with the pretty sheer dresses, and can never get enough fancy underpants for wearing about the house or beneath said dresses.

counting the number of items in my closet featuring my favorite little feline friends, it looks as though i may have officially achieved crazy cat lady status. from my leah goren cat print dress to my new olivia mew persian kitty scarf, to my kitty iphone case, and a host of other cat-related accoutrements (from brooches and figurines to wall art and kitchen towels), is it really any surprise that i recently acquired this pretty little rachel antonoff dress? not only because it has the perfect silhouette with darling puff sleeves in a pretty plaid, but because it has a little kitty pocket! mew mew mew!
yes, it is possible that i am suffering from cute overload. but it really is in the best way possible. this dress is a new favorite and i can only imagine that it will go into heavy rotation in my fall wardrobe layered up with cozy sweaters, colored tights, and various coats, depending on the weather.
