my nyfw: behind the scenes at rachel antonoff fall 2012

IMG_8862

a couple of days back, i was lucky enough to attend the rachel antonoff fall 2012 presentation. i’ve said it before, but season after season she comes out with some of the most creative presentations during fashion week, and it’s always a treat to see what she comes up with next. this fall, she took us on a dreamy moonlit boat ride with another beautiful and wearable collection. the silk fern print was just lovely and the geometric florals were perfectly complimented by some stunning nail art. not only that, but we were treated to a musical performance by alia shawkat! so cool! once again, i can’t wait to get my hands on some of these pieces!

please note that all of these photos were taken by me and were originally posted on the modcloth blog. please only repost with proper credit!

  1. I love it when designers are creative with their presentations. Clothing is a commodity, but I like to think of it as more of a creative expression. Love the outfits with the pink/purple patterned fabric.

  2. thank you erin! I really couldn’t wait to see this! I will post it on the 21st in my blog, telling the copyright is of course yours and of modcloth, and linking back to your blog for the people to read about the show.

  3. I adore all of the shoes and lotus/lily nails. I also like the feel where one print is incorporated into all of the clothes. Amazing, well-put-together, and stunning, sweetheart! Well done!
