outfit: royal caballito giveaway!

i first learned about the spanish-based brand royal caballito a couple of years ago, shortly after designer diana saldana launched her shop. i was immediately drawn to her whimsical designs and dreamy lookbook images, and have been following her ever since! her spring 2015 collection is one of my favorites to date, with lots of fun, patterned knitwear in easy, wearable designs. and as always, i love supporting small designers who focus on creating quality garments using sustainable practices. all of the pieces are sewn in a small professional workshop in spain with great attention to detail. and as you can tell from the photos, some of my favorites are the lluvia top and skirt, which can easily be worn as a set, or mixed and matched into your wardrobe in endless combinations.  this bold, cobalt blue is my favorite color lately, but they also come in green, coral pink, dusty grey, and aquamarine.

so today, we’ve teamed up to offer you the chance to win your choice of either the top or skirt in any color of your choice! simply enter using the widget below:

royal caballito spring 2015

it’s still taking me a bit of time to get back into the swing of things after two very busy months, but now that we’ve come out the other end, i’m pretty excited about all of the fun new collections we have to look forward to this spring! the new royal caballito spring 2015 collection is the perfect breath of fresh air, and exactly the type of thing that i would love to be wearing right now. designer diana saldaña has created a beautiful collection of fun and playful patterned knits with plenty of cozy, oversized scarves, easy sweater dresses, and the cutest little matching sets! they’re bright and cheerful without being overly saccharine, and they make a statement without being overpowering.

royal caballito spring 2013

a few months back, i received a very sweet email from diana, the designer behind spanish brand royal caballito and was instantly captivated. she started out her career as a photo curator and art historian traveling the world, but has now turned her passion towards design. she creates all of her textile designs using natural fibers like silk, merino, and cotton, working with small and local workshops in spain to ensure that each piece is made as ethically and sustainably as possible. her spring 2013 collection includes three whimsical prints in comfortable, free-spirited silhouettes perfect for springtime adventures. i am particularly smitten with the aqua blue watercolor print on the blouse and skirt seen above, but certainly wouldn’t mind adding any of these carefree pieces into my wardrobe!
